| |
| A7: Football games in each country are played seasonally, starting from September and ending in May. A League consisting of different divisions of 20 clubs each will play 34 matches. The team acquiring the highest score in the season becomes the League's champion. There are two major events for European cups, i.e. UEFA Cup and EUFA Champion's League both held by UEFA. UEFA Champion's League is played by Champion and the first runner-up in each country in the First round of 32 teams. The second and third runner-ups will go to playoff matches to enter the final round. The first round will divide the 32 teams into 8 groups. The winner and the first runner-up will advance to the second round of 16 teams. This round is divided into 4 groups. Again, the winner and the first runner-up will advance to the quarter final round. The games advance in this manner until the final round where only two teams play for the championship. UEFA Cup divides the games into rounds of 64 teams, and play to reach the final round. |
