| "Rainfade" occurs when a satellite transmission is affected by heavy rain or cloud cover. During such an interruption, a "Looking for Data" or "Searching for Signal" message will appear on your screen. This occurs because signals beamed from satellites are susceptible to this kind of interruption and at times, certain receivers are not able to pick up signals.
Actually, a satellite transmission system gives a far superior coverage area, or footprint, when compared to conventional terrestrial television signals and in the case of TrueVisions, the signals are relayed via the Thaicom satellite which orbits at a height of 35,768 kilometers. |
