Occasionally, you may find errors that have occurred with your receiver equipment, but you may not be aware of how to fix them. Therefore, in order for you to be able to fully enjoy quality programming without interruption, we would like to present simple directions on how you may easily correct these errors. Firstly, you would need to look at what message is being shown on the display screen of our satellite signal receiver and determine what type of error you may be experiencing.

Error Code: E-01 .. Re-insert CA Module
Initial Solution: Turn off the IRD . Take off CA Module back of IRD . Please re-insert CA Module . Re-power IRD

Error Code: E-04 ..Please Insert Smart Card / "No Smart Card"
Initial Solution:Turn off the IRD by pressing the "Stand By" button. . Check to see if the Smart Card is inserted loosely,. re-insert it. . Re-power IRD

Error Code: E-05 ..Unknown Card
Initial Solution: Check to see if the Smart Card is correctly inserted, if not re-insert it. . Ensure that the metal part is inserted.

Error Code: E-16 ..This channel is currently scrambled
Initial Solution: Check for unpaid invoice. If payment outstanding them make payment. . Contact Customer Service Center to request the signal reconnection . Switch on IRD to Stand By ( - )

Error Code: E-19,30,31..This channel is currently scrambled
Initial Solution: Check whether IRD is switched on in order to Stand By ( - ) at all time and contact UBC Customer Service Center to refresh your satellite signal.

Error Code: E-42.. Parental lock
Initial Solution:The problem could be solved by changing the lock code at the parentally control function. For IRD Type Pace 5000, 500 the code is 1234 and for IRD Type SMS the code is 1232.
