Two students from TU win UBC - BBC World Future
Journalist Award to internships in London
Six runner-ups also win internships in UBC News
and UBC Inside

UBC Group, in collaboration with BBC World and the Council of Mass Communication Faculty Members of Thailand (CMCT), announced Jananya Huamuangkaew and Chalida Ekvittayavechnukul from Thammasart University as the two winners of the 4th UBC - BBC World Future Journalist Award. The two are granted internships at the BBC's headquarters in London in May 2006. The winners will also train with UBC News (07) in April 2006 for one month in preparation for the internship in London.
UBC's Corporate Communications Director Kantima Kunjara Ph.D. revealed, "After UBC Group, BBC World and CMCT have joined hands providing an opportunity for senior-year undergraduate students in Communication Arts to compete for internships at BBC World in London in the 4th UBC - BBC World Future Journalist Award, the selection process has now been completed. The two award winners are Jananya Huamuangkaew and Chalida Ekwittayawejnukul from the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, Thammasart University."
The winners will receive :

Three-week internships at the headquarters of BBC World television, where the winners will get to work on actual field operations with the BBC in London, learn the news production process first hand, including script writing, shooting, production and editing. The winners will get to observe the BBC news desks that broadcast world news daily. |

"This is a special year since we also offered six runner-up awards, the winners of which will receive one-month internships at UBC News and UBC Inside with allowance during the internship period," Dr Kantima added.
